Color, shape, image, information and name work together to get the product noticed, to create anticipation of a pleasurable experience, to enhance the actual product consumption and establish brand cues.

Our package and design research addresses one of the most difficult problems in both tactical and strategic marketing—how do you get meaningful consumer feedback on low-involvement communications, without driving the respondent into meaningless ‘expertising’?  Most people have trouble articulating and explaining how they respond to package and design presentation, and even more trouble predicting how they would behave in a real sales environment.

AnswerStream is able to provide quantitative data on unconscious emotional reactions. We combine that data with quantitative survey measures and qualitative findings to triangulate to solutions that otherwise would not emerge. Recent applications of this module have included retail package re-design for the Thorlo Sock Company, and product re-design for Corning Bakeware.
